(J. R. Miller, "The Hidden Life" 1895)
"He always lives to intercede for them."
Some speak as if all Christ's work in saving us, had been done on the cross nineteen hundred years ago, in His giving up of Himself to die for us. But His actual work in saving us--is continued with us--in teaching us life's lessons,
giving us grace to overcome in temptation,
lifting us up when we have fallen,
going after us and bringing us back when
we have wandered away, and
keeping us from the world's deadly evils.
Were it not for this patient, never-failing, watchful love of Christ--not one of us would ever be saved!

Not One of Us Would Ever Be Saved!
Hebrews 7:25
"I give them eternal life, and they will never perish --ever!
No one will snatch them out of My hand!"

Everybody, Somebody, Nobody, and Anybody
Once upon a time, there were four church members:
Their names were Everybody, Somebody, Nobody, and Anybody.
Whenever there was an important job to be done, Everybody was sure that Somebody would do it.
Anybody could have done it, but Nobody did it.
When Nobody did it, Everybody got angry because it was Everybody's job.
Everybody thought that Somebody would do it, but Nobody realized that Nobody would do it.
So consequently Everybody blamed Somebody when Nobody did what Anybody could have done in the first place.
"He gives too late who waits to be asked." – Latin Proverb
